Mrs. Derrill C. Powell (nee Louisa "Lou"
Mosley) wrote this touching and nostalgic
letter when she was 33 years old, following a visit to her hometown of Covington. Lou was a younger sister of Martha Frances Mosley Faulkner. A newspaper typesetting error is noted in the clipping below, i.e., Mrs. Powell had been absent from Covington about 13 years rather than 23 years (or perhaps the typesetter mis-read her handwriting).
