There is mention of Wilson Cartwright, a leading member of the Concord Methodist Church in Hickory Level Community, which was organized in 1828 but dissolved because of internal strife about 1854. [140]
Research
Research notes of Rev. M. C. Cartwright indicate that Wilson Cartwright was one of the first settlers of Villa Rica, GA.

Wilson Cartwright appears as the J.P. signing numerous court documents in Carroll Co., GA, including the marriage license of Alexander Sanford Cartwright and Eliza Hope Dane.

It is believed that in 1822 Wilson was serving as a court clerk in Hawkins Co., TN, where he signed a marriage certificate, according to Faye C. Pool, a GGG Granddaughter. [30]
